Gardening Club: Seeds and Bed Prepping

A beautiful morning on the Wymondley Community Garden at April’s Gardening Club. A small group spent a relaxed couple of hours prepping the garden vegetable beds and planting some seeds. Some new faces joined us and one of our littlest gardeners did a fabulous job.

Gardening Club: Composting & Rose Gardens

Gardening Club this month met on a glorious morning and saw a range of different activities taking place. The main focus of the session was composting. However an exciting gift this week from Harkness Roses of 25 bush and climbing roses meant these needed planting this weekend too.

Gardening Club: Churchyard Tree Maintenance

This month, our gardening club joined forces with local villagers from Great Wymondley to assist with some much needed maintenance in St. Mary’s Churchyard. Although our main focus is the Wymondley Community Garden, we love to get involved and help with other garden projects throughout the parish when we can.

Gardening Club: Festive Wreaths

On the 18th December, our Gardening Club spent the morning creating our own festive wreaths. We began by foraging various greenery from across the Community Garden. This included ivy, holly, conifer, teasels, eucalyptus, spindles and more. The smell was delicious!
