Our Rose Garden

Our rose garden was planted in March 2022. The roses in the garden are made up of bush roses and climbing roses. They were all gifted to the Wymondley Community Garden by Harkness Roses as part of a scheme to better open the opportunities for young people from under-represented backgrounds and to celebrate the launch of their John Ystumllyn Rose in October 2021.

Their belief that “gardening not only has benefits to bring people together, but also can help improve mental health” is an ethos that we share and one of the foundations on which the Wymondley Community Garden was started.

We are honoured to have a John Ystumllyn Rose included in our rose garden. Click here for more information about this rose from Harkness Roses. To find out more about the man it was named for click here.

Please see our gallery which we will update as the rose garden blooms.

Our gardening club sessions are held from 9am-12pm on the third Saturday of every month. Free to attend and all ages and abilities welcome.
